For the Pasta:

400g spaghetti

Water for boiling

1 tsp salt

To Serve:

Grated Parmesan cheese

Fresh basil leaves

Instructions

1. Cook the Pasta:

1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil.

2. Add spaghetti and cook according to the package instructions (usually 8-10 minutes).

3. Drain and set aside, reserving ½ cup of pasta water.

1. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.

2. Add onions and sauté until soft and translucent, about 5 minutes.

3. Stir in the garlic and cook for another minute.

4. If using, add the mince and cook until browned.
